About the role
Amreen Homes is a family-owned, licensed residential care provider in Valley Center supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We run two six-bed homes, and we are hiring multiple Direct Support Professionals across both, with openings in part-time, full-time, and live-in schedules. What you will do
Provide direct care and support with daily living activities including hygiene, meals, mobility, and medication reminders. Support residents' independence, dignity, and community integration. Follow individual support plans and house protocols. Maintain accurate shift documentation and communicate clearly at handoffs. Help keep the home safe, clean, and welcoming. Respond calmly and appropriately to behavioral or medical needs as trained.
Schedules available
Part-time: morning and evening blocks, 4 to 5 hours per shift.
Full-time: consistent weekly schedule, with room to grow into lead responsibilities.
Live-in: private room and board included, 5-day workweek.
We have multiple openings across both homes and all three schedules. You can also start part-time and move into full-time or live-in as you get established.
What we are looking for
Patience, reliability, and genuine care for people with disabilities. CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain before your start date. Prior caregiving or DSP experience is a plus but not required, we provide training. Valid California driver's license preferred. Must be 18 or older and able to assist with transfers as needed.
Background clearance
All positions require DOJ/FBI criminal record clearance under California Title 22. Some records can be cleared through California's criminal record exemption process, and we are willing to go through that with the right person. Certain convictions are barred by statute and cannot be exempted.
