Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to emergency calls for water, flood, fire, or mold-related incidents, demonstrating readiness for immediate action.
- Perform water extraction, drying, and dehumidification using specialized equipment and techniques to prevent further damage.
- Conduct thorough cleaning of affected areas, including carpet cleaning and debris removal, ensuring a safe and sanitized environment.
- Assist with fire restoration processes such as soot removal and smoke odor mitigation to restore properties to pre-loss condition.
- Execute mold remediation procedures following industry standards to eliminate mold growth and prevent recurrence.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for demolition, repairs, or construction tasks associated with restoration projects.
- Apply respiratory protection and other safety protocols diligently during all phases of work to ensure personal safety and compliance with industry regulations.
- Document job progress accurately using Xactimate or similar estimating software for insurance claims processing.
- Support asbestos abatement or other hazardous material removal activities when required, adhering strictly to safety guidelines.
- Maintain a high level of emergency response readiness by staying prepared for rapid deployment at any time.
Experience
- Prior experience in the restoration industry is highly preferred, especially in water damage restoration, flood recovery, fire damage repair or mold remediation.
- Demonstrated ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment used in property restoration projects.
- Construction experience or background in building trades is advantageous for understanding structural repairs and rebuilds.
- Knowledge of Xactimate or similar estimating software is a plus for accurate job documentation.
- Familiarity with respiratory protection equipment and safety procedures related to asbestos abatement or mold remediation is desirable.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols including respiratory protection measures during hazardous work activities.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail during emergency response situations.
