Pay Rate: $22.50/hr. on W2

Responsibilities include:
- Interpreting shop drawings/blueprints.
- Reading a tape measure.
- Setting up MIG/MP welding machine.
- GMAW/FCAW welding (MIG and Flux-Core) Mild Steel.
- Using power tools - drill, impact driver, angle grinder, etc.
- Basic construction skills.
- Working from ladders and scissor lifts, wearing fall protection
- Wearing a respirator.
Job Description:
Set-up, operate or tend welding, soldering, or brazing machines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Basic knowledge of welding processes, such as gas metal arc, plasma arc, and resistance welding.
- Basic knowledge of design techniques, tools and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments.
- Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion or expansion of material.
- Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
- Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
- Determine required equipment and welding methods, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques.
- Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts, using cutting torches, straightening presses, and hand tools.
**Additional Manager notes**
- This role requires some Mig welding experience.
- Some flux core welding experience is good to have as well.
- The candidate will need to have measuring, cutting, grinding, and tool experience.
- Some overhead crane and scissor lift experience is a plus. 50% of the role will be welding.
- When the manager is ready, he will be requesting 30 min onsite interviews and then a 30-minute weld test.
- The candidate will need to bring their own welding hood. Disposable respirator and gloves can be provided.
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
