Superior Skilled Trades is seeking Combo Welders for a project in Cape Canaveral, FL!
$125/day per diem if over 60 miles to the jobsite with proof of address
- PAY: $35-$37/hr (AM or PM shift)
- HOURS: 50+
- START DATE: ASAP
- Will be required to pass weld test prior to start
Weld Test Details: Structural Test: Dual Shielded Flux Core, 2G, 3G, and 4G, .500" plates (with back gouge) .045 diameter wire. Must pass Visual, Bend Test. 4 hour time limit.
Once visually accepted above you will be required to take a 2.75” XXXH Carbon Steel on a 6G position also with GTAW w/o purge
¼” gap max, 5/32” cap/root reinforcement max, 1/32”under cut max.
- Grinding on the root is NOT permitted, except for feathering tie ins.

Job Description for Combo Welder:
- Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloys, often in pipe welding applications.
- Perform welding tasks using various processes (e.g., TIG, MIG, Stick, Flux-Cored).
- Fit and align pipes according to blueprints and isometric drawings.
- Must have at least 6+ years industrial experience
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in fabrication and welding.
- Proficiency in using power tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with FCAW welding techniques is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Experience working on construction sites is a plus.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Must pass a background and drug screen
