Human Resources Specialist
Location: Honolulu, HI
Pay: $20–$30/hour

Position Overview
Bishop & Company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Human Resources Specialist to support a dynamic organization in Honolulu. This role is responsible for benefits administration, employee relations, HR compliance, and HRIS data management.
This is a great opportunity for an HR professional to contribute to a growing team and play a key role in driving positive employee experience and operational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the daily operations of the HR/Benefits team
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance reviews of HR staff
- Serve as a point of contact for benefits vendors and third-party administrators
- Administer employee benefits programs (health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives)
- Maintain and manage HRIS data, reporting, and system accuracy
- Oversee workers’ compensation claims and coordinate with insurance providers
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, HIPAA, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information
- Analyze HR data and assist with reporting and process improvements
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in human resources (benefits, employee relations, recruiting, or training & development)
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, OSHA, HIPAA, and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and data management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
