POSITION SUMMARY: This role centers around the development and implementation of mechanical systems for a variety of industrial applications, with a primary focus on power generation packages and supporting auxiliary systems. The Product Engineer will be integral to the entire lifecycle of mechanical systems, from initial conceptual design and supporting documentation (including manufacturing drawings, P&ID’s, technical and functional specifications) to the final commissioning and handover of fully operational systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all necessary job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may.")

Supports Senior Product Engineer as a key stakeholder in the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems for power generation packages (i.e., gas turbine, reciprocating, etc) and auxiliary subsystems. Including but not limited to lubrication, hydraulic, starting, fuel, air intake/exhaust, structural, and acoustic enclosure.

Serves as the Engineering liaison for new build manufacturing of mobile power generation packages driven by gas turbines, reciprocating engines, and battery systems.

Assists other departments with commissioning newly manufactured packages, ensuring the various mechanical systems operate as per the functional specification.

Contributes to the development of process specifications that formalize standardized tasks to strengthen quality control practices.

Creates component specifications to assist the requisition of parts for new build manufacturing.

Serves as Engineering liaison for procurement and supply chain for new and existing product lines.

Helps Senior Product Engineer prepare documentation that outlines operational criteria for Factory Acceptance Testing.

Participates in review of mechanical system developments to ensure designs meet industry standards and legislation.
- Assists other departments with the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mobile power generation packages, battery storage packages, and their respective auxiliary systems.

Performs redline/markup drawing reviews for mechanical and structural that feed the documentation control process and becomes the approval authority for final drawing release.

Collaborates with the Senior Product Engineer on the development of new products and the advancement of existing products.

Works closely with the Senior Product Engineer in the development of mechanical system operation and maintenance manuals.

Supports the Senior Product Engineer to develop new product/service offerings from suppliers to build technical proposals.

Provides onsite and remote troubleshooting support on deployed assets.

Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.

Successfully passes pre-employment background check.

Possesses a valid U.S. driver’s license.

In-person, predictable attendance.

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution of higher education required.

0-10 years of gas turbine or power generation equipment experience required.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings required.

Specific knowledge of GE/Siemens/Solar gas turbines Caterpillar/MTU reciprocating engines and related auxiliary systems required.

Experience with GE/Siemens/Solar turbines and Caterpillar/MTU reciprocating engines strongly preferred.

Ability to work within a team concept to successfully complete assigned tasks.

Excellent communication and time management skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

Ability to take instructions well and positively interact with other employees within the framework of assigned work groups.
