Road & Rail Services is hiring dependable Vehicle Unloaders to safely move new vehicles from railcars and prepare them for transportation to their next destination.
This active, outdoor position is a good fit for someone who enjoys driving, working as part of a team, and staying physically active throughout the shift. Previous automotive or rail experience is not required.
Drive new vehicles off railcars safely and carefully
Inspect vehicles for visible damage before and after movement
Follow designated unloading routes and parking instructions
Maintain safe spacing between vehicles
Climb railcar ladders and work at heights of up to 16 feet
Enter and exit vehicles repeatedly throughout the shift
Follow company and customer safety procedures
Report vehicle damage, equipment problems, and unsafe conditions immediately
Work with team members to meet daily unloading requirements
Keep vehicles clean and protected from preventable damage
Valid driver's license
Safe driving history that meets company requirements
Ability to drive automatic-transmission vehicles
Ability to climb ladders up to 16 feet
Ability to walk, stand, bend, and repeatedly enter and exit vehicles
Willingness to work outdoors in changing weather conditions
Dependable attendance and punctuality
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Careful attention to vehicle safety and quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
