Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both residential and commercial electrical systems, with a strong understanding of low voltage applications. This role requires working on construction sites, where you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems according to specifications and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in compliance with relevant codes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Utilize various tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and power tools to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues.
- Conduct tests to ensure the functionality of electrical systems and components.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure timely project completion.
- Perform frame carpentry as needed to support electrical installations.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Commercial Electrician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of low voltage systems and their applications.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to electrical work.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with safety practices on construction sites.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
