Responsibilities

- Assist healthcare providers by documenting vital signs, patient histories, physical exam findings, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions with precision.
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations to protect patient privacy and ensure confidentiality of all medical records.
- Support the clinical team by verifying the accuracy of medical documentation and ensuring proper coding for billing purposes.
- Collaborate with medical staff to improve documentation workflows and optimize the use of EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and emergency procedures to accurately capture complex clinical information.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical transcription or medical office administration with familiarity using EMR/EHR systems.
- Excellent typing skills with high accuracy and speed; ability to transcribe detailed notes efficiently.
- Solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and clinical confidentiality policies aligned with HIPAA compliance standards.
- Prior experience working in a healthcare setting such as an emergency room or outpatient clinic is highly desirable.
- Strong written communication skills paired with keen attention to detail to ensure precise documentation.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
