SHRIMP PACKER
Join our dynamic team as a Shrimp Packer, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe packaging of high-quality shrimp products. You will be responsible for operating packaging equipment, handling materials, and adhering to strict safety and manufacturing standards to deliver top-tier seafood products to our customers. Duties
- Operate packaging machinery and equipment in accordance with manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
- Inspect shrimp products for quality, size, and packaging integrity, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Handle materials safely using appropriate material handling equipment such as forklifts, ensuring proper storage and movement within the warehouse.
- Interpret production documents, including batch records and packing lists, to accurately complete packaging tasks.
- Perform mechanical troubleshooting on packaging equipment and hand tools to minimize downtime and maintain continuous production flow.
- Follow safety standards rigorously, including heavy lifting techniques, industrial equipment troubleshooting, and adherence to safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packing area, ensuring compliance with GMP standards and warehouse operations best practices.
Requirements
- Prior experience in manufacturing facilities or warehouse operations is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of packaging equipment operation, mechanical troubleshooting, and industrial tools is essential.
- Familiarity with FDA regulations, CGMP standards, and manufacturing SOPs ensures quality compliance.
- Ability to interpret production documents accurately and perform basic math calculations related to packaging tasks.
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools for troubleshooting or assembly tasks.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety protocol adherence, including heavy lifting, warehouse safety standards, and GMP compliance.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
