Summary
As a Semi Truck/Trailer Diesel Mechanic, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and heavy vehicle systems to keep trucks and trailers on the road. Reporting to the shop supervisor, you will perform mechanical and electrical diagnostics, brake, suspension, and HVAC work, and ensure timely preventative maintenance. Your expertise in diesel engine systems, transmissions, hydraulics, and air brakes will help minimize downtime and extend vehicle life. Strong customer service, safety awareness, and a teamwork mindset are essential to deliver reliable service for our fleet.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics and repair on semi trucks and trailers, including diesel engine systems, fuel, exhaust, and air brake components.
- Conduct preventive maintenance, oil changes, tire service, alignment, hydraulics, and suspension inspections to ensure reliable fleet operation.
- Replace worn parts, weld or fabricate as needed, and service transmissions, HVAC, and braking systems.
- Use hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and schematics to troubleshoot issues; document findings and communicate with customers or dispatch.
- Adhere to safety protocols, maintain clean work areas, and support continuous improvements in service quality.
