Mallard Creek Polymers is seeking a qualified Human Resources Assistant to join our team.
Who you are:
The Human Resources Assistant will perform administrative and support duties related to the operations of the human resource office, the Chief Financial Officer, and the Chief Executive Officer. The position reports to the Human Resources Manager and works to support all human resources functions performed by the HR Manager. This is a generalist role that requires flexibility, attention to detail, and personal initiative.
What you do: Our ideal teammate has work-related experience with the following

Schedule and organizes CEO, CFO, and HR Manager appointments as requested

Support CEO, CFO, and project and administrative request
-
Create and/or proofread documents, business correspondence, presentations, and other communication
-
File appropriated documents and manage company bulletin board postings (regulated postings and internal postings)

Answer and direct departmental phone calls; receive and distributes office mail

Manage overall care of office facilities
-
Assist the Finance and HR team with Worker’s Compensation and 401k audits
-
Maintain monthly invoicing and reporting
- Manage active job posting on job boards
-
Coordinate job postings and applicant pre-screening based on position requirements

Coordinate candidate interactions including interview schedules, pre-employment activities, and onboarding events

Process required paperwork for employee change transactions and other related employment matters
-
Assist with the upkeep of Human Resources Information System (HRIS) data and reports such as attendance, new hire, time and attendance, and turnover reports.

Coordinate purchasing of employee recognition, supplies, gifts, etc.
- Support Plant employee reimbursement program

Support the employee engagement committee on company events
- Input benefit carrier updates for open enrollment and life event changes

Conduct enrollment and payroll deductions audits

Support employee inquiries around benefits coverage, leave, and claims support

Maintain and distribute payroll costs and related reports

Compile and maintain benefit cost reports
- Send benefit invoicing to the Finance team

Monday-Friday 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM

Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience:
-
High school diploma or equivalent required
-
Three years of Human Resources or Executive level support experience preferred
-
HRIS experience
Preferred Education and Experience:
-
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field or Human Resources Certificate
- 1-3 years of HR-related support experience
-
Paycom experience is a plus
Physical Requirements:
-
This position works at a plant location; the ability to traverse rocky terrain is needed
-
Must travel to both office locations for CEO, CFO, and employee support as requested or required
-
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
-
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Visual acuity is needed to perform data entry and other computer-oriented tasks
