Grand Flower Growers is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician Specialist to join our Maintenance team. This position plays an important role in supporting daily greenhouse operations by maintaining facilities, equipment, vehicles, and grounds to ensure safe, efficient, and dependable operations.

Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician Specialist is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of greenhouse facilities, equipment, vehicles, and grounds. This role works closely with the greenhouse operations and growing teams to minimize downtime, maintain operational standards, and support the overall success of Grand Flower Growers.
Essential Responsibilities
· Perform maintenance and repairs on greenhouse structures, buildings, equipment, tools, and property.
· Complete routine grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, landscaping, and general site upkeep.
· Maintain and repair roadways, paths, drainage areas, and outdoor workspaces.
· Perform basic carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs within the scope of training and experience.
· Conduct preventative maintenance to help reduce equipment failures and facility downtime.
· Maintain greenhouse structures, including painting greenhouse tops and installing or removing shade cloth as needed.
· Perform maintenance and minor repairs on company vehicles and equipment, including trucks, forklifts, golf carts, tow carts, and other mobile equipment.
· Inspect, clean, and report maintenance concerns with equipment and vehicles.
· Follow all company safety policies, greenhouse sanitation procedures, and biosecurity requirements.
Qualifications
· Experience with hand tools and basic mechanical systems.
· Knowledge of general maintenance practices related to greenhouse, agriculture, industrial, or similar environments preferred.
· Ability to troubleshoot and complete basic repairs.
· Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
· Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and extended hours during peak seasons.
· Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly.
· Valid driver’s license required.
· CDL or Michigan Agricultural (Ag) License preferred based on job responsibilities and operational needs.
Work Environment
This position works in greenhouses, warehouses, and outdoor environments. Employees may be exposed to heat, humidity, cold temperatures, moisture, noise, dust, odors, and agricultural chemicals consistent with greenhouse operations. This requires working in varying weather conditions and seasonal temperatures.
