Responsibilities
- Support senior plumbers in installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems on construction sites
- Assist with reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for pipe fitting, threading, and assembly tasks
- Help with pipe cutting, threading, and fitting to ensure precise installation according to specifications
- Participate in site cleanup, material handling, and equipment setup to maintain a safe work environment
- Learn to identify different types of piping materials and mechanical components used in plumbing systems
- Contribute to remodeling, maintenance projects as directed by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of construction practices and familiarity with construction sites preferred
- Experience or interest in construction plumbing, welding, carpentry or handyman work is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and mechanical diagrams is advantageous
- Strong mechanical aptitude with basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading equipment safely
- Willingness to learn new skills such as pipe installation techniques
- Good physical stamina for standing, lifting, bending, and working at heights as needed
