Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, carpets, windows, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
- Conduct janitorial duties such as trash removal, dusting, mopping, sweeping, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold hygiene standards
- Utilize custodial experience to operate cleaning equipment including buffers and floor care machines for polishing and buffing floors
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to maintenance teams
- Support industrial cleaning projects by handling specialized cleaning procedures for large-scale or high-traffic environments
- Maintain cleanliness logs and report any safety hazards or maintenance needs promptly
- Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services with a focus on commercial or industrial settings
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and waxing floors
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery safely and effectively
- Familiarity with residential painting is a plus for minor touch-ups or aesthetic improvements in facilities
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards
- Good physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout shifts
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues clearly
