Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Transcribe audio recordings of medical reports, including physician notes, patient histories, discharge summaries, and diagnostic test results.
- Ensure all transcriptions adhere to established medical formatting and documentation standards.
- Review and edit transcribed documents for accuracy, clarity, and completeness before final submission.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient information in accordance with privacy laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify unclear audio or ambiguous medical terminology as needed.
- Manage multiple transcription assignments efficiently while meeting deadlines.
- Keep detailed records of completed work and update files systematically for easy retrieval.
Requirements
- Proven experience in medical transcription or related medical office roles.
- Strong knowledge of human physiology and anatomy to accurately interpret medical terminology.
- Excellent typing skills with high accuracy and speed, typically exceeding 60 words per minute.
- Familiarity with medical transcription software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Solid understanding of medical terminology, abbreviations, and documentation standards.
- Ability to listen carefully and interpret audio recordings accurately under time constraints.
