Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and efficient seating arrangements. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage guest relations effectively.
This position will serve as the primary Host, leading the reservation board, coordinating seating flow, and delegating responsibilities to other hosts to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Greet guests as they arrive and provide a warm welcome.
- Manage the seating chart and ensure timely seating of guests.
- Communicate wait times accurately to guests and provide updates as necessary.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, using proper phone etiquette.
- Utilize Toast POS or similar systems to manage reservations and guest flow efficiently.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Address guest concerns promptly and effectively, enhancing overall customer service experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to help guests feel welcomed and valued.
- Knowledge of guest relations principles and hospitality standards.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Resy & Toast POS, is a plus.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team dedicated to excellent customer service.
