Duties:
- Assist with the direct care of patients, providing support and assistance as needed
- Perform basic nursing procedures under the supervision of registered nurses
- Help patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with turning, positioning, and transferring patients
- Collect specimens for laboratory testing
- Assist with physical examinations and other medical procedures
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
Requirements:
- One year experience with certification
- Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures
- Experience in ICU or other critical care settings is preferred
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects and assist with patient mobility
- Familiarity with hospice care principles and practices is a plus
- Strong caregiving skills and the ability to provide compassionate care to patients of all ages
- Knowledge of durable medical equipment (DME) and its proper use
- Proficient in using computer systems for documentation purposes
- Understanding of behavioral health principles and the ability to effectively communicate with patients experiencing mental health issues
- Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and common medical conditions
- Experience in senior care or working with elderly patients is desirable
