Newburyport High School is looking for a dynamic, positive person who enjoys working in a high school environment, who is comfortable in a fast-paced school environment, and who is interested in collaborating with a team of teachers. The Team Facilitator reports directly to the Director of Pupil Services and the building Principal and has the primary responsibility to coordinate and facilitate the team evaluation special education process according to IDEA special education laws and regulations. Team Facilitator must exercise initiative and independent judgment in ensuring proper administration of all special education programs and placements as determined by the Team evaluation process.Initiate and coordinate the team evaluation process according to special education regulations including initial and reevaluation eligibility. Ensure a thorough evaluation in all areas of suspected disability and adhere to required timelines.Chair special education team meetings.
Ensure the determination of eligibility and development of Individualized Educational Programs in accordance with mandated requirements.
