Altura has been in business since 2013. We are proud to serve petrochemical, upstream, midstream, agricultural and food processing clients nationwide. Our team consists of approximately 25 professional and knowledgeable engineers, designers and technicians. We specialize in revamp projects at facilities which require integration within an existing infrastructure and precision engineering. We provide project management and a multi-disciplinary team comprised of Mechanical, Civil/Structural and Instrument & Electrical engineers.
Primary Role
Keep the office running smoothly and support the engineering and design teams by managing day-to-day administrative operations, safety compliance, recruiting support and vendor relationships so the company can execute projects on time and on budget.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources
● Serve as the first point of contact for employee benefits questions, directing employees to the appropriate carrier, broker or plan resource
● Lead recruiting efforts: develop and update job descriptions, define required qualifications and competencies, and post open positions to job boards
● Maintain and develop HR policies and procedures with third-party consultants
Safety & Compliance
● Schedule safety training and ensure employee compliance
● Administer drug and alcohol screening and background checks through third-party providers
● Maintain client contractor safety compliance program accounts
● Coordinate monthly safety meetings and topics with third-party safety consultants
● Maintain and order PPE and assist employees with PPE selection per standards
● Complete OSHA reporting (300/300A) and recurring client safety reporting
● Maintain and develop company safety policies and programs with third-party consultants
Administrative
● Establish and maintain vendor relationships
● Replenish office supplies, snacks and other consumables
● Coordinate travel arrangements for staff
● Coordinate with the company’s IT provider on network and company-wide computer issues
● Coordinate employee recognition for birthdays, anniversaries, births and other milestones
● Plan company events (sponsorships, career fairs, conferences)
Competencies:
● Bachelor’s degree preferred
● Requires five years of general clerical and office management experience
● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning web-based compliance and vendor systems
● Recruiting or hiring coordination experience is a plus
● Knowledge of contractor compliance systems such as DISA, HASC, ISNetworld, Avetta and Veriforce is a plus
