Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide in-home care to a pediatric patient with complex medical needs. The RN will assist with the child’s daily living activities, monitor their health status, and administer prescribed treatments under a care plan established by the healthcare provider. The goal is to promote the child’s safety, comfort, and developmental potential in the home setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor vital signs and assess for changes in the child’s condition.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and observations made.
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other caregivers to ensure consistent care.
- Educate family members on care procedures and equipment use as needed.
- Provide emotional support to the child and family.
- Follow the individualized care plan and report changes or concerns to the supervising nurse or physician.
- Maintain a safe and sanitary environment in the child’s home.
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and all applicable regulations.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia (or applicable state).
- Pediatric or home health experience preferred.
- Current CPR/BLS certification (PALS preferred).
- Strong clinical assessment skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a care team.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client’s home.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and position children as needed.
- Capable of prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting.
- Must be able to respond to emergency situations quickly and effectively.
