Marana Group a leading provider of document management, mail assembly, mail processing, presorting, data management, digital marketing and distribution services to companies, schools, colleges and universities, health care providers, governmental entities and organizations throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe has an immediate opening for a Part-Time and Full-Time Digital Print Production Operators at our Kalamazoo, Michigan facility.
SUMMARY
The Digital Print Production Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting digital printing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials efficiently and accurately. This role ensures that print jobs meet quality standards, deadlines, and customer specifications while maintaining a safe and organized production environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Operate digital printing equipment (e.g. , digital presses, cutters, folders, stitchers, inserters, laminators, etc.)
Prepare print jobs by reviewing work orders, file specifications, and materials
Perform basic prepress tasks, including file setup, color checks, and test prints
Monitor print quality and make adjustments to ensure color accuracy and consistency
Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and cleaning of equipment
Troubleshoot and resolve common equipment or production issues
Load and manage print materials (paper, vinyl, substrates, inks, toners)
Complete finishing tasks such as trimming, mounting, laminating, binding, or packaging
Ensure jobs are completed on time and according to specifications
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production area
Follow company quality standards, safety procedures, and workflow processes
Communicate effectively with team members regarding job status and issues
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or technical training in graphic arts or print production is a plus.
- 1–3 years of experience in a print or production environment preferred.
- Proficient in using digital print equipment; familiarity with RIP and workflow software (e.g., Fiery, FreeFlow, or similar).
- Knowledge of file formats (PDF, EPS, TIFF) and basic prepress/preflight concepts.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
- Experience with printing equipment
- Knowledge of color management and calibration
- Experience with finishing equipment (cutters, laminators, binders)
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
- Previous experience in a fast-paced print or production environment
Working Conditions:
