Ankeny Teacher Minimum Requirements:
- Associate's degree or 60 credit hours
- Must be at least 18
Ankeny Paraprofessional Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18
Ankeny Pay rates:
- Substitute Teacher: $170/day
- Substitute Paraprofessional: $17.25/hour
Saydel Teacher Minimum Requirements:
- Associate's degree or 60 credit hours
- Must be at least 18
Saydel Paraprofessional Minimum requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18
Saydel Pay rates:
- Substitute Teacher: $160/day
- Substitute Paraprofessional: $13.33/hour

- Responsibilities:
- Assume duties of the district employee in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies
- Empower students to learn, and encourage classroom participation
Teacher Responsibilities
- Collaborate with lead teachers to implement lesson plans and provide additional support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.
- Assist students in understanding and completing assignments, reinforcing classroom instruction while promoting social and emotional development by encouraging positive peer interactions.
- For long-term teacher assignments, it may be required to develop lessons plans, as well as build, administer, and grade tests and assignments
- Substitute teachers may also be referred to as substitute educator, guest teacher, or relief teacher.
Paraprofessional Responsibilities
- Collaborate with lead teachers to implement lesson plans and provide additional support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.
- Assist students in understanding and completing assignments, reinforcing classroom instruction while promoting social and emotional development by encouraging positive peer interactions.
- Substitute aides may also be referred to as paraprofessionals, education technicians, teacher’s aide, instructional assistant, classroom assistant or education assistant.
Pay: $13.33 - $21.25 per hour
