We are seeking a motivated and skilled Fence Builder to join our dynamic construction team. Responsibilities
- Measure and mark fence lines according to project specifications using tape measures, levels, and other hand tools
- Cut and assemble fencing materials such as wood, vinyl, chain link, or metal panels with power tools and hand tools
- Dig post holes using post drivers or augers, ensuring proper depth and alignment for stability
- Install fence posts securely in concrete or soil foundations, ensuring durability and safety standards are met
- Attach fencing panels or boards to posts with nails, screws, or welding techniques as appropriate for the material
- Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts or skid steers for transporting materials on-site
- Perform site preparation tasks including clearing debris, grading land, and landscape maintenance to ensure a clean work area
- Conduct quality checks throughout the installation process to ensure fences are level, straight, and compliant with safety regulations
- Assist with masonry tasks related to concrete forming and finishing for post foundations when necessary
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
Experience
- Prior experience in construction or carpentry is highly desirable; familiarity with fence installation projects is a plus
- Hands-on experience with frame carpentry, masonry, concrete forming, or landscape maintenance enhances your suitability for this role
- Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, saws, levels, drills, and measuring devices is essential
- Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively on various materials including wood, metal, and concrete
- Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of safety standards and procedures
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of hardscape installation techniques such as masonry or concrete finishing is advantageous
