SEITs & Special Education Evaluators — CPSE
Rye Therapies of OT, PT, and SLP, PLLC is seeking experienced, reliable professionals to join our growing team providing services to children throughout Westchester County, NY.
We are currently hiring for the following positions:
1. SEITs — CPSE Services
We are looking for Special Education Itinerant Teachers (SEITs) to provide CPSE services to preschool-aged children in schools, preschools, daycares, and community settings.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized special education services to preschool children with disabilities
- Implement IEP goals and collaborate with families, teachers, and related-service providers
- Complete required session documentation and progress notes
- Communicate professionally with families and school/program staff
- Maintain compliance with CPSE requirements
Qualifications:
- NYS certification/eligibility to provide SEIT services
- Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
- Knowledge of CPSE/IEP requirements CPSE Portal
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Reliable transportation for community-based assignments
- Knowledge of CPSE Portal a plus!
2. Special Education Evaluators — CPSE Evaluations
We are also seeking certified Special Education Teachers/Evaluators to conduct CPSE special education evaluations for preschool children.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive special education evaluations as part of the CPSE process
- Administer appropriate standardized and informal assessment measures
- Review developmental, educational, and relevant background information
- Prepare clear, professional written evaluation reports
- Provide recommendations based on evaluation findings
- Conduct classroom observations as part of the evaluation process
- Communicate findings professionally with families and other members of the evaluation team
Qualifications:
- NYS certification in Special Education or appropriate credentials to conduct CPSE evaluations
- Experience with preschool-aged children and CPSE evaluations preferred
- Strong assessment and report-writing skills
- Knowledge of NYS CPSE procedures and requirements
- Ability to work independently and meet report deadlines
