Responsibilities and Skills
- Immunization and injection administration
- Refill prescription medication
- Maintain provider recall follow up practices
- Provide communication and maintain delivery of patient test results
- Triage phone calls and provide physician to patient communcation
- Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes and ensuring their comfort
- General computer knowledge to help maintain detailed documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, including medical history, ICD coding for diagnoses, and treatment notes
- Support medical administrative functions like scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling insurance. Good communication and telephone skills.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology to support accurate patient care
- Ability to work in a fast paced multi-provider environment
- Enjoys working directly with people and serving patients with a positive attitude
