Job Summary
We are seeking an outgoing and detail-oriented individual to join our team at Todd’s Body Shop Physical Therapy and Rehab. In this vital role, you will manage the very important aspect of being the first interaction a patient has when coming to our clinic ensuring their experience is smooth and seamless. In this role you will strive for accurate scheduling, verifying insurance benefits, and effective patient communication. Your expertise will help optimize office operations, improve patient satisfaction through smooth patient experiences, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Duties include but not limited to:
- Verifying benefits through a variety of portals, including EPIC, Availity, Noridian, Optum Health as well as calling the insurance companies directly.
- Data input into the EMR system to ensure accurate billing.
- Track, process and collect co-pays and properly assign them to the correct account.
- Utilize CPT coding and ICD-10 coding systems to ensure precise medical billing aligned with healthcare standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries regarding billing statements and insurance questions
Skills include but are not limited to:
- Strong understanding of medical collection processes, CPT coding, ICD-10 standards, and healthcare billing procedures.
- Excellent analysis skills for account reconciliation, account analysis, and revenue cycle management metrics.
- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes within a healthcare setting.
- Effective negotiation skills paired with strong phone etiquette for patient communication and insurance negotiations.
- Data entry accuracy and attention to detail in journal entries and bookkeeping tasks.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to physical therapy services and CPT coding procedures.
- Strong organizational skills to help develop and create systems to run the front desk team and contribute to the operational function of the clinic as a whole.
