Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Clinical Research Assistant to support clinical research operations through specimen collection, processing, documentation, and laboratory coordination. The ideal candidate will have Clinical Research experience and phlebotomy skills.
Responsibilities
- Draw blood and collect urine samples from study participants according to protocol requirements
- Process, centrifuge, aliquot, label, and prepare blood and urine specimens for shipment or storage
- Prepare and maintain laboratory kits, shipping materials, and study supplies
- Package and ship specimens to central laboratories following sponsor and IATA guidelines
- Maintain specimen inventory, freezer logs, temperature logs, and specimen tracking records
- Track sample collection timelines and ensure protocol-specific processing windows are met
- Update patient laboratory logs, specimen tracking logs, and study inventory records
- Coordinate with local and central laboratories regarding sample requirements and shipment issues
- Maintain laboratory binders, accountability logs, and study documentation
- Ensure compliance with GCP, FDA, OSHA, CAP/CLIA, and institutional policies
- Assist with monitoring visits, audits, and laboratory-related queries
- Report specimen discrepancies, processing deviations, and shipment issues to the study team
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of research laboratory and storage areas
Qualifications
- Experience in clinical research, phlebotomy, laboratory processing, or specimen management preferred
- Phlebotomy experience required
- Knowledge of clinical trial specimen handling and shipping procedures
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Familiarity with central lab portals and laboratory tracking systems preferred

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
