Tattnall Health Center is seeking a compassionate and motivated full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant to join the IN-HOUSE rehabilitation team in a long-term care (LTC) setting! The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide direct therapy services to residents, supporting their ability to perform daily living and functional tasks.
Key Responsibilities:

Carry out treatment plans designed by the Occupational Therapist to improve residents' physical, emotional, and cognitive functioning.

Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), adaptive equipment training, and therapeutic exercises.

Document resident progress, responses to treatment, and changes in condition accurately and timely.

Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and ensure continuity.

Adhere to facility policies and regulatory standards including HIPAA, CMS, and OSHA.

Participate in care planning meetings and in-service education as required.

Monitor and maintain cleanliness and functionality of therapy equipment and workspaces.
Qualifications:

Associate's Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

Current certification/licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in [State].

Valid CPR certification (or ability to obtain).

Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred.
