Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Event Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of a diverse range of events. Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive event plans, including timelines, budgets, and logistics to ensure seamless execution from inception to completion
- Manage event budgets with chef meticulously, tracking expenses and optimizing resource allocation to maximize impact within financial parameters
- Coordinate all aspects of event marketing efforts to promote events effectively across digital channels, social media, and traditional media
- Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring all technical requirements, catering arrangements, and guest accommodations are flawlessly executed
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing attendee inquiries promptly and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the event lifecycle
- Implement upselling strategies during events to enhance revenue opportunities through premium offerings or additional services
- Maintain strong communication with owner, clients, team members, vendors, and venue staff to ensure alignment on objectives and expectations
Experience
- Proven experience in event management or hospitality roles such as banquet management, restaurant operations, hotel services or fundraising events
- Demonstrated ability to plan large-scale events with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
- Strong negotiation skills with experience managing contracts and vendor relationships
- Familiarity with event marketing techniques and digital promotion strategies
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality
- Prior experience in catering or banquet operations is a plus; hospitality background enhances understanding of guest services and hospitality nuances
This position is paid a base rate and commission percentage, to be discussed upon interview.
