American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU night shift position requiring an IN or Compact RN license and PALS certification.

Work in the Pediatric ICU (PICU) of a children's hospital
-
Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts weekly (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
-
Holiday coverage required, with candidates working 2 of 3 major holidays
-
Cerner charting system used
-
Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
-
Active IN or Compact RN license required in hand prior to start date
-
Current BLS and PALS certifications required
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Cerner EMR experience preferred
-
Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
-
2 supervisor references required
-
SSN and DOB required for consideration

Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood and blood product administration, central line/implanted line care, and PICC line management
-
Skilled in care of ventilated patients and respiratory management
-
Proficient in interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias
-
Knowledge of infection control, isolation precautions, and PPE protocols
-
Experience with pediatric medication administration and dosage calculations
-
Provide direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU setting

Up to 5 days of non-holiday RTO can be auto-approved; additional time off requires facility approval

Previous perm or PRN employees of the health system must be separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler

Travelers who have accrued 12 months of employment within the health system must complete a designated break to reset eligibility before starting a new assignment
