Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, spirits, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair.
- Develop and refine beverage recipes to keep our menu fresh and exciting, incorporating current trends and customer preferences.
- Manage bar inventory, restock supplies, and ensure all products are stored safely according to food safety standards.
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, handling cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders promptly, and ensuring their satisfaction throughout their visit.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food handling and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the restaurant team to support banquet events, catering services, and special functions as needed.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of mixology techniques, beverage recipe development, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing transactions smoothly.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods.
- Experience in fine dining establishments or upscale hospitality environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, craft beer styles, and brewing processes enhances guest recommendations.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude that fosters guest loyalty.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Food safety certification and understanding of proper food handling procedures are essential.
- Previous experience in restaurant or food service roles including banquet or catering experience is advantageous.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
