Candidates must hold a valid Nevada electrical license and have experience with conveyors, sortation systems, controls, cable trays, conduit, wire pulls, and equipment terminations.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Industrial/Conveyor Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex industrial electrical systems and conveyor equipment. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems across manufacturing and distribution environments. Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems, including conveyor belts, motors, sensors, and control panels.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute wiring and system modifications.
- Perform high-voltage electrical wiring work in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards and local electrical codes.
- Diagnose electrical faults using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and other testing equipment to identify issues swiftly.
- Maintain compliance with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards), NEC (National Electrical Code), and OSHA safety procedures during all electrical work.
- Install programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation control systems to optimize conveyor operations and process automation.
- Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and upgrades on industrial electrical systems to minimize downtime and improve safety.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician with a strong background in commercial electrical systems installation and maintenance.
- Demonstrated ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Knowledge of high-voltage (up to 600V) wiring practices, industrial electrical systems, and low-voltage control circuits.
- Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, local electrical codes, and safety procedures related to electrical work.
- Skilled in troubleshooting complex electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and power tools.
- Experience working on conveyor systems or automation equipment involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces on construction sites or renovation projects.
- Strong hand tool proficiency including wire strippers, crimpers, drills, saws, and other power tools necessary for installation tasks.
- Construction site experience or hands-on handyman skills are a plus for versatile troubleshooting and repair tasks.
