Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews.
- Administer medications and injections accurately, following established protocols and patient-specific orders.
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or Cerner to document patient care activities thoroughly and efficiently.
- Assist with diagnostic procedures including phlebotomy, specimen collection, catheterization, and sterile processing techniques.
- Provide specialized care such as wound suturing, IV infusion management, ventilator support, and ostomy care.
- Support emergency response procedures including airway management, acute pain management, trauma medicine, and neonatal resuscitation when needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop discharge plans, coordinate case management efforts, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards like NCQA standards and HIPAA regulations.
Skills
- Proven experience in diverse clinical settings such as ICU, emergency room, medical-surgical units, or specialty areas like cardiology or ophthalmology.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation.
- Skilled in performing advanced procedures such as suturing, catheterization (including cardiac catheterization), tube feeding management, and aseptic techniques.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities; familiarity with memory care and dementia care is a plus.
- Ability to handle complex cases involving trauma medicine, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, or occupational health.
- Excellent patient assessment skills coupled with critical thinking in fast-paced environments like Level I & II trauma centers or Level III trauma centers.
