Job Title: Business Development Manager
Company: Apollo Security Group
Location: Southeast Region Remote/Hybrid (South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, or North Carolina) with regular regional travel
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000 – $60,000 base per year + aggressive profit share plan
Build the Program. Own the Growth.
Apollo Security Group is hiring a Business Development Manager to build our business development program from the ground up across the Southeast. This is not a seat where you inherit a territory and manage a pipeline someone else built. You will design the program, define the process, and, as revenue follows, build the team that runs it.
We protect residential communities, HOAs, schools, commercial facilities, and event venues across the Southeast of the United States. Our growth has come from doing the work well and being the company clients recommend. We are looking for a business development professional who can take that reputation and turn it into a repeatable, disciplined growth engine.
If you have sold contract security services successfully, know how to win an RFP, and understand that the relationship is the product we want to talk to you.
What You'll Do
Build the Business Development Program
- Design and implement Apollo's business development function: pipeline structure, CRM discipline, sales process, pricing strategy, and proposal standards.
- Establish measurable targets, forecasting, and reporting that leadership can act on.
- Build the playbook: messaging, collateral, proposal templates, and qualification criteria, that a growing team can execute consistently.
Build the Team
- As the program scales, recruit, hire, train, and lead business development staff across the Southeast footprint.
- Set performance standards, coach to them, and hold the team accountable for results.
- Serve as the internal authority on how Apollo sells.
Grow Revenue Through Relationships
- Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, site assessment, proposal, negotiation, and close.
- Develop and maintain relationships with property managers, HOA and community association boards, school district administrators, facility directors, general contractors, and commercial property owners.
- Partner with operations to ensure what we sell is what we deliver and to grow existing accounts through service expansion, additional posts, and renewals.
- Manage key client relationships post-award so retention is as strong as acquisition.
Win RFPs and Formal Bids
- Identify, track, and pursue RFPs, RFQs, and IFBs across public and private sectors — municipalities, school districts, special districts, healthcare, and commercial portfolios.
- Own the response process end to end: requirement analysis, bid/no-bid decisions, pricing coordination, compliance review, narrative writing, and on-time submission.
- Build a library of proposal content that raises win rates and shortens turnaround.
Be Visible in the Market
- Actively promote Apollo in the markets we serve, you are expected to be out in front of clients and prospects, not behind a desk.
- Represent Apollo at industry events, trade shows, and association meetings, including CAI (Community Associations Institute) chapter events, property management associations, chambers of commerce, and school and facility management conferences.
- Take an engaged, hands-on role in vendor partnerships, sponsorships, memberships, and association programs funded by Apollo sponsorships are an investment we make, and we expect you to work them for measurable return, not just attend.
- Develop referral and channel relationships with adjacent vendors and service providers.
What You Need

- Demonstrated history of success selling security services contract guarding, security officer staffing, or closely related B2B services with results you can speak to specifically.

- Track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Strong professional presence with executive, board, and committee-level audiences.
- Excellent written communication you will be writing proposals that decide seven-figure awards.

- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and any state licensing requirements applicable to security services sales.
