We are looking for a COTA to service individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and various developmental disabilities ranging in age from pre-k to adulthood while working closely on an interdisciplinary team of Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, Behavioral Analysts, and Teachers.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for implementation of Individualized Occupational Therapy goals and treatments
- Assessment of students' current abilities to develop appropriate educationally relevant goals and treatments
- Collaboration with Occupational Therapist and other team members
- Implement behavioral techniques per students behavioral plan
- Maintain accurate documentation for data, notes, and attendance
- Provide training and staff support regarding needs of the student
- Coordinate and work closely with OT, SLP, BA, teachers, and staff
- Communication with parents and caregivers
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of ASD and other developmental disorders
- Adaptable, knowledgeable, and good interpersonal skills
- Comfortable and knowledgeable with behavioral challenges
Job Type: Part-time position of 20+ hours with potential to transition to a full-time position
License/Certifications
- Associate's degree from an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Active Florida Department of Health License
