We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and licensed Staff Pharmacist to join our growing closed-door pharmacy team in California. The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of prescription medications while maintaining compliance with all applicable federal and California state laws and regulations.
This is a non-retail pharmacy position focused on prescription verification, medication management, collaboration with pharmacy technicians and healthcare providers, and delivering exceptional pharmacy services in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment. The ideal candidate is committed to patient safety, possesses strong clinical knowledge, and thrives in a collaborative team environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and accurately dispense prescription medications in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of medication orders prior to dispensing.
- Supervise and provide guidance to pharmacy technicians and support staff.
- Communicate with prescribers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to clarify prescriptions and resolve medication-related concerns.
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and California Board of Pharmacy regulations, company policies, and quality assurance standards.
- Assist with inventory management, medication recalls, and controlled substance accountability.
- Support workflow efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and accuracy.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and help maintain accreditation and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications Required
- Active California Pharmacist license in good standing.
- Strong knowledge of federal and California pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred
- Experience in a closed-door pharmacy setting.
- Experience using DigitalRx pharmacy software is a plus.
Pay: $60.00 - $63.00 per hour
