Position Overview
This position works both alongside the Lead Teacher and independently within required ratios, helping create a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for children while following Missouri licensing regulations and Academy policies. The Assistant Teacher supports children's growth and development while working collaboratively with families and educators, recognizing both as essential partners in a child's success.
The person in this position must work well with other teachers in the classroom and demonstrate maturity, professionalism, and sensitivity when interacting with children, families, and fellow staff members.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, nurturing care for infants and toddlers.
- Maintain supervision and safety of children at all times.
- Support classroom activities, routines, and developmental experiences.
- Follow Missouri Child Care Licensing Regulations and Academy policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with Lead Teachers and other classroom staff.
- Communicate professionally and positively with families and coworkers.
- Foster a warm, engaging, and supportive learning environment.

We are professional, innovative and our goal is to provide high-quality childcare that is educational and nurturing. Our curriculum begins at 6 weeks and continues through Kindergarten entry. We have an excellent STEAM based summer program, Camp Academy, for school ages 5-12!. While we are here for the children, we absolutely LOVE growing entry level teachers into Lead Teachers.
