Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Production Manager to lead our paint preparation and paint booth operations. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong background in manufacturing and a proven track record of success in managing paint-related processes. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the paint department, meeting production targets, maintaining high-quality standards, and leading a team of paint technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the paint preparation and paint booth operations, including surface preparation, priming, painting, and finishing.
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and production targets.
- Ensure all work is performed to the highest quality standards and in accordance with company specifications.
- Manage and lead a team of paint technicians, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any production issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Manage inventory of paint and related supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality.
- Collaborate with other departments, including engineering, quality control, and purchasing, to ensure smooth production flow.
- Prepare and present production reports to senior management.
Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Manufacturing) is preferred.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role in a paint or coatings department.
- Proven experience with various paint application techniques, including spraying, powder coating, and other surface treatments.
- Hands-on experience with paint prep processes, including blasting, sanding, and cleaning.
Skills

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
