Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the social, emotional, and cognitive development of toddler children. The Toddler Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all children.
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their individual growth and development.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians as needed.
- Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to support the overall development of each child.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and developmental milestones.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with toddler-aged children in a daycare or educational setting is essential.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in teaching young children.
- Experience with special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging learning environment.
- First aid certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
