Company Introduction:
We are a small startup in the medical technology field located in Everett, Washington. We specialize in providing emergency buttons and automated pillboxes to senior citizens and individuals with special needs who may not be able to afford the equipment otherwise. With the help of our services, our clients can afford to remain independent and safe in their own homes, while providing peace of mind to loved ones.
We provide and are paid for services primarily by state agencies. We currently serve six states and are rapidly expanding.
Job Description:
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week during regular business hours) with potential opportunities for overtime. Pay range flexible depending on experience.
We are seeking a hardworking customer-centric individual to add to our team! The priorities of this position include processing claims and billing, state taxes and light bookkeeping. This position also requires providing excellent support and collaboration with our case managers and partners. Finally, as a small company, we are all on the customer support answering line and this role may be tapped to answer and support customer support calls, as needed.
Prior experience in bookkeeping and/or claims is preferred. We are most interested in finding a positive, detail oriented, customer-centric addition to our team.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the billing and claims process for multiple states
o Confirm client IDs, authorizations, and track authorization changes
o Collaborate with case managers to resolve errors in authorizations
o Track and request reauthorization through case managers
o Accurately submit individual claims timely and efficiently
o Review remittance and resolve billing and remittance denials accordingly
- Manage billing/collections for agencies and private pay users
o Compile spreadsheets for monthly tracking & collections
o Create and submit invoices for agencies and private pay clients
o Track collections and follow up on unpaid transactions with payees timely
- Provide the highest level of customer support during support calls
- Compile and file Sales & Use Taxes for various states
- Maintain positive relationships with case managers
- Own and maintain select reports, data entry, and documentation
- Effectively communicate with teammates, clients, and case managers
- Demonstrate flexibility in duties and responsibilities to achieve common goals
Requirements:
- Demonstarted prior experience with customer service
- Demonstrated experience with MS Suite (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
- Claims and/or bookkeeping experience
- Quickbooks and Excel experience preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent
- US work authorization
- Must complete and comply with HIPAA certification
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suites and Quickbooks
- Fluent in English with strong written and oral abilities
