Duties
- Plan and deliver dynamic soccer training sessions tailored to different age groups and skill levels, emphasizing fundamental techniques, tactical awareness, and physical fitness
- Lead team practices, drills, and scrimmages that promote teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship
- Provide constructive feedback to players to enhance their skills and confidence on the field
- Organize and oversee competitive matches, ensuring fair play and adherence to safety protocols
- Foster a positive environment that encourages respect, motivation, and personal growth among athletes
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding player progress, attendance, and team updates
- Maintain equipment, ensure proper use of sports gear, and uphold safety standards during all activities
Skills
- Proven experience in soccer coaching with a strong understanding of game strategies and player development
- Background in sports-specific training instruction and team leadership
- Experience working with children or youth in a coaching or teaching capacity
- Knowledge of first aid procedures including CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation for emergency preparedness
- Familiarity with other sports such as basketball, cheerleading, climbing, martial arts (karate, judo), or swimming enhances versatility in coaching approaches
- Excellent communication skills for effective client (player/parent) interaction and team management
- Ability to manage behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques
- Experience teaching physical education or working within health club or gym environments is advantageous
- Strong organizational skills to plan sessions, track progress, and coordinate team activities
