Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Supervisor to oversee the maintenance, repair, and day-to-day operation of our properties. This hands-on role combines facility oversight with skilled maintenance work and requires a strong background in building systems, preventative maintenance, vendor coordination, and property operations.
The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and capable of independently managing maintenance priorities while ensuring properties remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily maintenance operations for a portfolio of residential and commercial properties throughout New York City and Long Island.
- Perform and coordinate repairs involving carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, and general building maintenance.
- Conduct routine property inspections and identify maintenance and safety concerns.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate and supervise outside vendors and contractors.
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repairs promptly.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Track maintenance projects, expenses, supplies, and equipment.
- Assist with apartment turnovers, renovations, and capital improvement projects.
- Maintain maintenance records and communicate project updates to management.
- Monitor building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
- Support property managers in maintaining high resident satisfaction.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of property maintenance, facilities management, or building operations experience.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and general repairs.
- Experience coordinating maintenance projects and vendors.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve building maintenance issues independently.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical maintenance duties.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
Preferred
- Experience in multifamily residential or commercial property management.
- HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or trade certifications.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and building systems.
- Prior supervisory or lead maintenance experience.

Pay: $66,300.00 - $75,000.00 per year
