Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of dental procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, root canal therapy, dental extractions, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry as needed.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, diagnose dental conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for accurate medical documentation and record keeping.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and infection prevention standards.
- Collaborate with the dental team to deliver four-handed dentistry for efficient patient care.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, treatment options, and post-procedure care to promote optimal outcomes.
Skills
- Proficiency in dental software platforms such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical imaging, and healthcare diagnosis.
- Experience in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics (including root canals), prosthodontics, and anesthesia administration.
- Ability to perform dental fabrication procedures and manage complex cases involving dental restorations or implants.
- Excellent patient care skills with a focus on patient assessment and effective communication.
- Familiarity with medical records management and medical documentation standards in a dental setting.
- Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
