Duties
- Load and unload shipments using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, ensuring safety and accuracy
- Prepare packages for delivery by organizing items in the warehouse for efficient delivery of product.
- Safely operate a box truck or similar vehicles to deliver products to customers or business locations, adhering to scheduled routes
- Assist with inventory management by counting, labeling, and organizing stock within the warehouse
- Support warehouse organization through heavy lifting and moving items as needed
- Ensure all deliveries are completed on time while providing friendly customer service upon arrival
- Conduct routine safety checks on equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual transmission vehicles to maintain operational standards
Experience
- Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is required
- Delivery driver experience especially with box trucks or similar commercial vehicles (non-cdl) is a plus. This role also requires material handling of products being delivered and is not just a delivery driver position
- Proven ability with delivery driving and material handling with a focus on punctuality and safety compliance
- Experience with heavy lifting 40-75lbs+, moving supplies, or handling bulky items in a warehouse setting
- Knowledge of operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment is advantageous
- Customer service skills that demonstrate professionalism and positive interaction with clients during deliveries
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required, cdl not required
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy objects repeatedly and moving items efficiently
