As a Dog Daycare and Boarding Counselor at Canine Clubhouse, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for our furry guests. This position requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about canine care and welfare, as well as someone who can manage multiple tasks effectively in a lively atmosphere.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Supervise and engage with dogs in playgroups, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Monitor dog behavior and health, reporting any concerns to management immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment by performing daily cleaning tasks, including scrubbing, sanitizing, and disinfecting play and resting areas.
- Engage in physical activities such as walking, lifting, and interacting with dogs of varying sizes and energy levels throughout the day.
- Assist with feeding, administering medications, and following special care instructions for boarding dogs.
- Prepare for and participate in daily activities and enrichment programs to keep dogs stimulated and happy.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog’s behavior, health, and any incidents during their stay.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols to create a secure environment for both dogs and staff.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience working with dogs in a daycare, boarding, or grooming environment is preferred.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, as this role requires standing for long periods and performing rigorous cleaning duties.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and a love for dogs, with understanding that this role involves more than just playtime.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
