The Executive Director - Information Technology provides leadership for the planning, security, reliability, modernization, and daily operation of Information Technology services, systems, infrastructure, telecommunications, enterprise applications, and related technology resources supporting Tribal Government operations and properties. The position develops and implements IT strategy, governance, budgets, staffing plans, policies, procedures, cybersecurity controls, disaster recovery capabilities, vendor management practices, and service standards in alignment with Tribal priorities, applicable internal controls, and applicable laws, regulations, policies, and contractual obligations.

Lead the IT department and provide strategic direction for technology services, infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, telecommunications, and user support.
- Liaise with users to ensure that business requirements are adequately met and that applications and systems are properly utilized.

Establish and maintain IT strategic plans, operating plans, project roadmaps, budgets, staffing plans, service levels, policies, standard operating procedures, and performance metrics.

Establish and maintain an IT governance and risk management program addressing cybersecurity, identity and access management, data protection, records and information management, incident response, business continuity, change management, asset management, and vendor risk.

10 years of IT managerial experience with a focus on IT operations, enterprise systems, cybersecurity, budgeting, and managing vendors and staff

Should be able to demonstrate a history of increasing responsilibities in previous positions

Bachelors degree in Business Information Systems or related field

Masters in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred

Maintain a current driver’s license and insurable on company policy
