THE OPPORTUNITY
Newtimes is seeking an experienced apparel executive to lead Product Integrity, Quality and Compliance across our Americas organization.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who combines deep apparel and manufacturing knowledge with strong judgment, initiative and the ability to influence across a matrix organization.
Working closely with Country Managers, Merchandising, Technical Design, Production, CSR and regional Quality teams, this leader will strengthen product integrity, supplier performance and quality systems while supporting continued growth across the region.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide strategic leadership for Product Integrity, Quality Assurance, Testing and Regulatory Compliance across Newtimes Americas.
- Provide oversight and guidance to regional Quality teams in Peru and Guatemala in coordination with local leadership.
- Strengthen supplier quality systems, factory onboarding, risk assessment and production readiness while driving continuous improvement in supplier performance.
- Serve as senior escalation point for significant product integrity and quality issues, driving timely resolution and corrective action.
- Build trusted partnerships with customers and suppliers through proactive communication, sound judgment and effective problem solving.
- Partner across Merchandising, Technical Design, Production, CSR and Quality to identify risk early, develop regional talent and strengthen organizational capability.
- Maintain and continuously improve Product Integrity standards, SOPs and best practices while staying current with relevant testing, regulatory, sustainability and compliance requirements.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience in the global textile and apparel industry.
- Broad experience across Product Integrity, Quality, Technical Services, Product Development, Sourcing, Production or related disciplines.
- Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing, textiles, testing, regulatory compliance and supplier quality systems.
- Proven experience leading and developing multicultural, geographically dispersed teams.
- Demonstrated success operating within a matrix organization and influencing across functions without relying solely on direct reporting relationships.
- Experience supporting sourcing and manufacturing in the Americas strongly preferred.
WORK ARRANAGEMENT AND TRAVEL
We offer the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement, with three days per week in our Miami office preferred. The role requires quarterly travel to both Peru and Guatemala at a minimum, with additional travel for new factory or customer launches, high-risk programs, supplier development and significant quality or business issues.
The successful candidate will recognize when leadership presence is needed and be prepared to act proactively.
