A research associate position is available immediately in the area of battery characterization and modeling in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH). The research will be conducted under the direction of Prof. George Nelson. The work will involve fabrication and electrochemical characterization of solid-electrolyte batteries, synthesis and characterization of battery materials, and general support of lab management tasks. The research assistant will actively collaborate with graduate students and postdoctoral researchers.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Synthesize and characterize battery materials.
- Fabricate and test batteries.
- Support general lab management tasks.
- Documentation and reporting of results from experiments.
