This direct therapy provider will implement a treatment plan developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) addressing communication, behavior, self-regulation, feeding, ADLs and social skills. The ABA Therapist will also monitor the progress of a treatment plan and work closely with the other therapists in home based services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 ABA therapy in home and community based environments usually in after school hours
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by BCBA/BCaBAs
- Collect data to monitor the progress and effectiveness of the individualized treatment plan.
- Provide daily written progress notes in the SOAP format regarding treatment goals.
- Training families on implementing individualized treatment plans.
- Participate in team meetings and training workshops.
- Ensure that the client is in a safe and positive environment at all times.
- Follows the policies and procedures of the company
ABA Therapist / Registered Behavior Technician Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred and RBT
- Experience working with children with developmental disabilities
- Experience working with children with behavior problems
- Excellent communication skills and a desire to think out side the box
- Proficiency with basic software and app use for scheduling, tracking goals, and entering notes.
- Must have a passion for working with children with disabilities and be creative!!
- Must have reliable transportation
